A $10,000 bill?

Ever seen a $10,000 bill? Neither have I. But the Yahoo story below shows a picture of one.

Now wouldn't it be nice if a cashier at the supermarket accidentally slipped you one of those??     ;)

Blogging to the Bank

Hello all-

I came upon a terrific product that I just had to pass along. Its called Blogging to the Bank and its a step-by-step guide that teaches you how to make money from your blog.

Blogs are becoming more and more popular. It seems everyone has a blog and everyone likes to find new ones to read.

I recently realized that I was silly for running this blog and not even trying to make money off of it. So I added a few affiliate links and just recently added Google Adsense to this blog. (Adsense are those little ads above this that say "Ads by Google"). When someone clicks on one of them, I make money!

If you have a blog of your own, why not make a little money from it too??

The author of Blogging to the Bank is the highly successful internet marketer Rob Benwell. He recommends using blogger.com or other free blogging programs, along with Google Adsense and affiliate links.

But in his ebook, he gives you a lot more information, such as:

-Which templates to use.
-Where to place your Adsense ads.
-How to rank high in the search engines.
-How to get tons of traffic to your blog.
-How to consistently find new content to add.

I haven't had a chance to read through Blogging to the Bank yet, but I will. I think it is an investment that will pay for itself many times over. Besides, Benwell offers a 60-day money back guarantee...so how can I lose?

If you want to check it out and see if it is worth all they hype, you can get it here.

How Much is that Savings Bond Worth?

Got a bunch of old savings bonds laying around in a file cabinet or safe deposit and have no idea what they are worth or whether or not they are still earning interest?

The US Treasury Department has a website that will tell you. Just enter the type of bond, issue date, and denomination and a simple online calculator will tell you exactly how much it is worth.

Is Your Job Going to be Outsourced?

Fantastic article from CNNMoney about job outsourcing. It's a hot topic these days as many people are fearful of losing their jobs. The article points out that many companies who outsourced customer service or other 'babk-office' jobs have been less than thrilled with the results. And their customers have not been pleased.

I agree with the conclusion at the end of the article...competing on price is not always the best method. There will always be someone willing to undercut you. Better to focus on quality and the value your customers perceive in your product.
