My name is Mike Collins and I know all about debt. Growing up, my mom and dad always struggled to make ends meet. They raised 5 kids on only one salary and looking back I'm not sure how they did it.

Now that I've started my own family I understand the need to save money whenever and wherever you can. It hasn't been easy, but we've made it through some tough spots by sticking together and by coming up will all sorts of ideas for saving money.

You can read many of my money saving tips here on this site, as well as some interesting articles other writers have contributed. You can more tips at my blog about saving money which I update regularly. I tried to keep the same look and feel as this site, but the blog format is easier to update. This money site was just getting too big to manage in its current form. I probably won't update this site too often but it will stay online to offer great saving advice.

In addition to learning about saving money, I've added some articles and resources you can use to start making extra money too. After all, saving money and making more money are the 2 keys to getting out of debt. You can only lower your expenses so much, but with the tips I provide you you'll be able to increase your income too. And who wouldn't love to make a little more money?

You may notice that some pages look a bit different than others. That's because I'm changing the template I used to create this site to match that of my saving money blog. I have to go back and change each page manually and test them to make sure everything is working right so it will take some time before they're all done.
